Golden Socket

I saw a devise called golden socket at www.plycoon.com. It allows people to change their multiplier if their mb's don't normally let them. Can anyone tell me if this is any good?

I hear it works pretty well, but if you upgrade to a palomino you'll need to get a different golden socket. (since the two aren't compatible.) Or so I've heard.
