i just build my second computer with barton 2800+ and volcano 11 hsf using artic silver 3. it's not overclocked yet, everything is stock.

in bios, the temps reads
cpu: 45-55c
system: 35-45

but Sandra reads
cpu: 30c
board: 39

where are the bios and sandra getting it's readings? which one is more accurate? is the board temp in sandra the same as system temp in bios?

oh and what's power/aux temp? i'm getting warning temps in sandra with 45-55

thx in advance

i think sandra is a little confused. i seriously doubt that the board temp is higher than the cpu temp. How is your case airflow

i have two fans
the intake is mounted on the case lid right over the cpu slot and the exhaust is mounted on the top of the case blowing straight up.

my case came with an external case sensor that i placed right next to the heatsink and it usually reads 27c-34

any ideas? if the bios temp is correct one, i have no clue as to why it's so high
