System:
Asus P3B-F + CeleryII 600 + Abit Slotket!!!<
300W PS
256MB PC100 PNY CAS2
Diamond Stealth III S540 PCI VideoCard
Promise Ultra100 + Maxtor + Western Digital HD's
SB Live! Platinum + Hollywood+ DVD Decoder card
US Robotics V90 56K modem
3Com 3C905C-TC NIC
Sony CDROM, Sony DVD, 250MB Zip, Plextor 121032A CDRW

I set the jumpers on the Slotket!!! on auto everything. In the bios (1006) of the P3B-F, I tried to up to voltage to 1.85V with a FSB of 100. This overclocks the CPU to 900MHz. The system never posts once! I am still on the retail HSF and have yet to plunge money into buying a better HSF to overclock. I am testing to see if my cpu would do 900MHz and so far no luck. I wonder what I am doing that is wrong. Could someone give me a few pointers/tips? Thanks a whole lot

You may need to double boot. Set your FSB to a moderate O/C that will boot. Then just after your system posts, but before windows starts to load, hit your reset button or Ctrl+ALT+ DEL. and go back into the BIOS. then try for a higher over clock. You will need to do this each time you cold boot your machine. The setting will hold thought when warm booting. You should also read the post on Heatsink compound. ("Crazy temps on my p3 500....? ") Good Luck.
