PI-MMX: All I want to do is OC from 166 to 233.

I have an old computer that all I want to do is run a game on. Will it be that dangerous to go up one notch without checking everything? It's a good case with plenty of ventilation, do I worry about temp? I don't even have internet on it to download the thermometer utilities. Please advise :)

If you have the facility to do this on the motherboard, that is to change the multiplier, go ahead and try it - but I'd rather go for 200Mhz initially and then bump.

It does sound however that a good read into the how to section at the bottom of the main page would be a real good idea.
