View Full Version : MY ONE DAY AT 1GIG with 800E on my SE6

man...what is going on here...i was complaining one day about my cpu..i overclocked it to 112(3:3:1) and it worded fine..then i went to 115 and 120 it all worked fine..but one day...it started to cause problem on my...my computer crashes even if i run at NORMAL speed 800 mhz...i dunno whats goin on..then one day i set it to 125(4:3:1) AND IT WENT TO 1GIG AND WORKED FOR A DAY...the next day i ran a few benchmark and found out my agp is not performing too well..so i find out that its sharing the same IRQ as my soundcard..so i tried changing it on my bios...but after i restart...it NEVER WENT BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! now i have trouble goin even to 115mhz (3:3:1)...whats goin on..my system and cpu seemed cool.....definately not overheated..can someone help me????

I hope your not using the pci port that is right next to the agp port?
These two slots share irqs.

Sound card and video card defini9tely need irq all the time :)

If possible move sound card to free slot, if no free slot try changing with nic or other pci card.

to avoid conflicts when building a machine always leave the first pci slot open if you are running AGP video ,,or use it for a PCI vid card ,,,use slot 3 for the soundcard ,or leave it open if your using onbboard sound and sont absolutly need it
