You might be lucky getting some more MHz out of the CPU, however, only if you get another motherboard! The Intel boards aren't exactly "Overclockers choice", if you know what I mean! :)
My brother has a P2-350 doing 420 with stock cooling, and no problems at all - but he uses the ASUS P2B-F! Bottom line: Get another motherboard, and TRASH the Gateway! :-)
cheers 4 your help. why do companies make it so that u cant overclock their boards and cpus its bull****

Well, you have to understand that this is INTEL we're talking about. No wonder they don't make overclockers boards... they would rather have us buy a new and faster CPU, instead of overclocking the old ones!
Common sense, really. But you've got a point: it sucks! 8)
The big name computer makers like Dell, HP, Gateway, etc don't want you to buy a cheap model and have it overclockable so that it outperforms the more expensive models. They would never be able to sell the top end stuff once the word got out!
good point, but it just encourages ppl to go elseware and build there own computers. Over the next while i can see only a few large companies making it with Fast well priced computers. the others will fall behind. as the majority of people are making their own computers or getting someone else to do build a comp for them. i am also looking at a duron 800 with a kt7 abit mobo both unlocked! should i go for a bigger CPU? would it be worth the money? with all the talk about P4 most ppl dont release u need that special RIMM ram or soming. ah well.
