i have a p3 800 socket 370 chip running on a tyan s1854 pc133 board with dual fans. i cant seem to overclock it with the ezbios (no feature). I changed the jumpers but still records 6X133=800. i want to oc it to about 900-1000. i have not made any other changes...
any help???

Since it's an Intel chip, it is multiplier locked. If you are changing the jumpers for the multiplier you will not see a change. Do you have any FSB choices by bios or jumpers? That's where you need to be.

I have a trinity 1854 board also, and yes the only way to overclock the p3 is fsb setting. Tyan is not exactly an overclockers board. but it is very stable. The best I could get was 450@504 4.5x112. anything higher and she wont boot There are no voltage settings in the bios.

there are no fsb or jumper settings in the bios that i could tell. (futer: how were you able to oc the chip with ez bios supplied?) (tim: lets say i change my board...
what's your recommendation for a new mb which is stable enough to oc the intel chip?)

go to "Chipset features"
then "CPU Clock/Spread Spectrum" thats where you change your FSB.

heres a link that will show u how to get more voltage settings. i have the same board (S1854) i did the mod it works great. got me to a GIG with a 733"es"
