What settings do you have for your RAM?

I got it from Azzo

so far so good. I'll check for stability now.

MKan this thing runs like 5 degrees cooler than my 2.6 D1, plaus it's about 250 mhz faster!
It passed PC Mark, I'll push the FSB a bit more.

I'll shoot for 292 FSB.

Strange, now it doesn't even post at 285.
Intel overclocking is a lot more complicated than AMD's for some reason,,, or maybe I'm just not used to it.
Right now I'm running # 3.4 GHz, 283 FSB, 227 MHz on the RAM at 2-2-2-6, 1.675 Vcore and 2.95 Vdimm.
1 Ghz OC,, I can't complain I guess,,
I never can get any of my RAM to run fast with the RAS to CAS delay set to 2. I always have to use 3.
AudiMan

Still running strong! No errors in prime yet after 45 minutes.
283.4 MHz FSB
3.4 GHz - 1.675 VCore
226.7 MHz RAM (DDR 453.4 @ 2-2-2-6) - 3.05 Vdimm
41 Degrees Load. (Two instances of Prime)
I think I hit the mobo's limit,,,

FPO/Pack date? Looks good thus far :D
AudiMan

I had to back down to 275 FSB.
I really think it's the mobo's fault.
I'm at 3.3 GHz 1.575 Vcore, ram is at 220 fsb 2-2-2-6 like always :)
FPO/BATCH#: 3332A346
Pack date" 09/15/03

Nice!
I'm having some issues with my new setup, I'm going to reseat the NB fan (AI7) when I get home and make sure its making good contact.
I'll take anything 3.0+ right about now.

Ditto. I run my timings 7-2-3-2.

Audiman,
You know thats what im running at too. Just using 2.5-3-3-6 timing on ram (actually is faster for some reason). Just pumping a 1.6v into the core since prime crashes after like 20+ hours at 1.575 but I have a feeling its the ram holding me back.
My pack date was 10/14/03 though.

Hmmm what yea know we are both using the same ram too, what a nice factor in limiting our OC. Go figure.
Edit:
Lets see we got the same CPU running at the same speed with nearly the same voltage using the same amount of ram on the same divider. What PSU you using? I'm using a Antec True Power 430 watt. Also how much volts you pumping through them? I'm using 2.8V on mine since thats as much my mobo will hand out.

I have my 2.4C SL6Z3 running at 3.4 Ghz with 1.575 volts actual (1.60 in BIOS). It is 100% stable while running 2 Folding clients. I only have 512MB of PC3700 memory though, and not 1GB like you do. I wonder if your CPU would overclock any higher with only 512MB memory?

edward - just curious of your fpo/pack as well

Well I decided that I might as well go on a limb here and just bought some Kingston HyperX Series 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3000. Well see if its the ram in a couple days :)

The only info I have with me at work is:
3326A547
SL6Z3
Costa Rica
(edit) I have run it at 3.63 Ghz (302 FSB) with 1.725 volts for some 3dmark benchmarking, but it is not Prime95 stable. I just replaced my AS3 with AS5 last night. I going to see if I can get it Prime95 stable at 3.5 Ghz for daily 24/7 use.

He's got real Vdimm, it helps a lot with the timings.

I too have the True Power 430 Watt from Antec. My RAM is at 2.85 or 2.95 volts(Vdimm modded).
So you're saying that when your system is at "2.5-3-3-6" it's faster? that's strange.
I noticed (In SETI at least) that my 5:4, 2-2-2-6 systems are faster than my 1:1, 2.5-3-4-7 systems.
(If you look at my sig, take away the Epox 8KHA+ system and replace it with: Asus P4P800, 2.6C @ 246 FSB, 1:1)
AudiMan

I also forgot to mention, that at 1:1 I can run my RAM stable at 227 FSB, 2-2-2-6 @ 2.85 Vdimm
With the Vdimm mod @ 3.06 Volts, I can get it stable at about 238 FSB 2-2-2-6. I just got lucky with my Corsairs. They are the V 1.1 with the BH-5's -> BH-5's seem to love extra voltage. I have a 120mm fan in my side panel blowing directly at my RAM. According to the Temp sensor, my RAM runs at 33 degrees, but when I turn that 120mm fan off it runs at about 41 degrees, so that's something to consider if you want to push your ram. It will help stability.

you should loosen that ram up a bit and see what the real potential of that cpu is!

Ahahah it's only a part time job that I can't stand! - Once I'm done school in April, hopefully I'll get a job that pays a few bucks more.

I tried at 3:2 - it craps out on me @ 292 FSB - I think it's the mobo,,
isnt this the p4c800? if so it shouldnt be the board. maybe a bios update would help, but i kinda doubt it. 3.4ghz is not a bad OC you might have just hit the limits. what is load temps?

I knew eventually someone would ask me that :) I just love German cars. German cars > Domestics :)
As for temps, it never goes over 42C @ load (two Prime95's)
I'm sticking to 275 FSB right now @ 1.575 Vcore. Anything above that needs 1.7 Vcore and that's too much for air cooling.
A BIOS upgrade made things a lot more stable, but my northbridge is very hot. I'll try upping the FSB after I somehow cool down the northbridge. $$ is an issue for me right now so this wont happen any time soon.
