View Full Version : Overclocking the 850????
I just bought a PENTIUM III P3 850MHZ/256K L2 CACHE 100MHZ FSB SLOT1 SECC2 and was wondering if I put this on my SOYO 6BA+100 could I overclock it?
Probably a little. The PIII's usually run out of steam between 950-980 and with the high multiplier you may not have many choices for FSB within that range. With good cooling you should be able to increase it to that range if you have the available clock speeds.
The Soyo board is good for overclocking. Do I need cooling if I jack the FSB up just a little bit?

Chris whats going to increase your heat is when you jack up your voltage to increase your stability. What type of heat/fan combo do you have now?
PIII700@1030 w/alpha, Abit BE6 II
