Need help overclocking pentium III 750

I need some advice here, i want to overclock this puppy to 1gig, now i have a aopen ax6b motherboard and it doesn't boot up a 133mhz!, is it the motherboard or the cpu? i tried uping the voltage to 2.0 but no luck!

I also have a PIII 750E that won't run 1000. I'm running it on a SOYO 6BA+100 with an Annihilator 2 Ultra, 256mg Mushkin PC-133 High Performance Rev3, IBM 75 GXP 20 gig and a X-Gamer Live!. It will run rock solid at 126 fsb at 945 with 1.81 voltage, but will not even boot at 133fsb. I don't even get a signal to the monitor, which is an IIyama i90a 19". I have tried about everything I know, including changing the AGP Apereture size from 4 all the way up to 256. In all reality, we better be thankful they run this fast at all. I also was hoping for the big one. Oh well. Any ideas?

i don't what could be the problem could it be my motherboard because its too old, or could it be my powersupply? do i need a 300 watt powersupply?, I NEEED hELP HERE , i want 1 gig bad, might i add that i can go to 112 bus a 840 with no voltage change! so help me pleassse

Nah its not the voltage, thats a myth in my view, only voltage is an issue with Tbirds me thinks, but we'll see wot others think.

I have to agree, if bumping the voltage up didn't do it, any changes you can make to get it to run faster would probably end up costing you performance. What kind of RAM do you have? It may not like going to 133FSB. If you are running CAS 2,2,2 reducing it to 3,3,3 may make it run, but it will likely be slower than it is now. Odds are good that the power supply isn't a factor here either.

It's just the luck of the draw. I bought two 750's. The first is rock solid at 1000, and would boot to 1066. The second, with identical setup (Asus P3V4X), I had to settle for ~930.

i don't know about the other boards but the Asus p3v4x will let you run the RAM at a different speed that the FBS so its is alittle easier to get around RAM that doesn't want to work at a specific speed. I had a machine that had a p3v4x and with p3-700 i got it to 1gig using pc100 RAM.
