mounting a heat sink on a heat sink?

I don't really see how this would be impossible and/or make no difference...and how would they become higher?

It might be possible to epoxy another small heatsink or additional fins to a heatsink, depending on the type of heatsink. Results probably wouldn't be worth it though, especially considering the extra weight and size. I dunno, try it out and see what happens!
 
its not imposible people do something close to that for water chillers

the probelm is working it on to a cpu

and really i dont think it would do much good
 
u know how the heatsink usually has the fins on the side what if u attach heat sinks to the two end fins?

would it make anytype of difference i also don't see how it would get hotter .

if you did it like that you could solder them on to avoid the epoxy heat barrier...be interesting to try :)
 
or maybe not even maybe i can use a thermal adhesive and **** them on hehe

who knows.
