on the system in my sig, i only seem to get 14966...
I didn't bother doing this bench before but today i got curious...
When I had a 9500 pro i scored just a little less (low 14k's) so something's gotta be wrong with my comp...
AA and AF are both off so its not that..

i have wondered about how good the 9800np's are...
does anyone have more benchmarks?
is the 9800np better than the 9700pro or even 9500pro?
I'm able to get about 19,700 with my system.
Do you have lots of background apps running? Maybe some kind of virus?
yeah hit the ol' alt+ctrl+del and terminate as many processes as possible. Something has got to be definitely wrong... I got a 15,166 with my system in the sig.

maybe your cpu limited? can you give me a compare link so I can see and help you?

i have to finish a few finals then i'll post a compare link

Hey OC550, I see you have some experience with the Geforce line... how much further do you think I can push my Ti4800se before I need to get some aftermarket cooling on it (btw, I have an 80mm fan on the side of the case tha blows right on the video card, plus an intake fan tha also blows right at the level of the video card)? You can see where I am at in the sig, it amounts to a score a little over 15K (in 2k1)... is there any way to hit the 16K mark with that card? I plan on getting the new gen cards NV40 or r430 when they come out, so I want to push this one as much as I can without breaking it before I get the new gen cards. thanks in advance.

you may have to v mod the core to push any further. you could push the cpu further though by increasing its fsb and voltage. also tighten your ram timings. finally use tweakmonster ramsinks, two people said they gained a 40MHz ram overclock(!!!)

when i had my amd system....i scored 16000 with 9700pro.........200x11.....i think i might know the problem.....did you reinstall ur comp.....like install your motherboard drivers.....i dropped alot of score when i didn't have my motherboard drivers.

I dont know much about upping hte voltage on the video card. How much are the ramsinks for the video card anyway... I f the yare a decent amount, I will order some really soon if it upped it by 40mhz, that is an impressive amount.
As far as the CPU goes, I will wait before doing any more OCing to it, I want to lap my NB and throw a 40mm fan on the ysync, also on the SB. My vcore is at 1.8 already, that is kind of high as it is, I am not sure I can squeeze any more fsb out of it until I so some modding to the SB and NB. The score jumped like almost 900 points from 200x11 to 210x11.

i did a fresh install of everything when i switched mobos..
one thing that keeps me puzzled is that a few weeks ago I ran 3dmark 2k3 and I broke 6K in that pretty easy.. so getting low scores in 2k1 makes even less sense
Try backing down your OC a bit you might be getting hit by heat build up during your BM run. What I do is find the MAX that my card will run then back off 5mz, then I oc my system.
Try it you might be supprised.

my cpu can take 2.2v but you need excellent cooling like I have. also max out your fsb before you lap or mod your northbridge, maybe the limit is your ram. as for ramsinks, you could try cutting up a small heatsink. much cheaper but might not be as good as buying tweakmonster ramsinks. If you plan to keep your ti4200 a long time, get the best ramsinks you can, once you put em on its permaent

 2.2v? I won't even run that with my chip with an SLK800 and a Tornado. What, exactly, kind of cooling do you have?

i get 14k with mine as well. but my cpu and memory is a huge bottleneck for it :<
The fact that you get 6k in 2k3 shows that you're bottlenecked somewhere. Doesn't 2k3 mainly depend on the video card, whereas 2k1 gauges more of an overall statistic?
The only thing I can think of is background programs.

same cooling as you mentioned :D and I only run 2.2v for benchmarks. that cooling is so powerful my cpu was cooler at 2.2v with the slk-800 than 1.7v with a cheap heatsink/fan

Ah, okay. I crank up my voltage for benchmarks as well. :p Nice cooling system, eh?

how is your cpu and memory a bottleneck?!?! a p4 2.4c @ 3.4ghz isn't exactly low, and mushkin ram....

Dude, your score is perfectly fine, for a 9800np thats fine, not only that you processor estimating by your great oc, is a barton. Neway below are my scores, and if you add my card to ur PC ur beating me, and i have a pretty good score. but wut helps me on the bench is just high FSBs, that all there is to 2001se. your vcore is fine, but if i were u id lower the fsb to 200 just to see if there is a big difference, if there isn't you might consider raising the core, or getting a better hsf, or it could just be ur processor, not everyone is going to get the type of scores they are (supposed) to get.
remember these are just scores, the only real test is just playing a damn game
same here i cannot figure it out. I only get 14000 in 3dmarks01 and 5200 in 3dmarks03. This is with my box2(the one i built)
everything is stock. PLEASE HELP
also i dont know if this helps, but i am on a fresh install of win2k pro and have no updates. I will get the updates tomorrow when i got back to school and see what happens. But my scores should be way higher right?

Bib, sometimes just upping your fsb a little will kinda kick break your processor in. I had 13000 stock with my current setup, i raised the bus about 5 mhz, and i went up to 15700, now im at 17800. 2001se relies mostly on ur FSB, so try that. Also make sure AA or AF is turned off, and make sure that your options in 3dmark01se are at default. One more thing to remember is that this is just retarted benchmark test that isnt even very accurate at all. People getting my score with a TI4200 cant run games at max AF AA and 1600x1200 resolution which everything turned up, just impossible. So with your card, even though people are out scoring you your still probably whooping them in a real game.

hehehe.
i will try it with a high fsb and see what i get.

lemme know wut ya get
alright here are the results.
3dmarks01 stock 15*133.31 14333
14*143.18 14578
13*154.20 14907
12*168 15359
10*200 16226
11.5*200 17010
3dmarks03 stock 15*133.31 5249
13*154.20 5320
11.5*200 5478
pcmark 04 stock 3384
11.5*200 4008
o yeah i love it i love it.
and i still need to tweak the memory and oc the video card. I am aiming for 20k, hopefully i should be able to get it.

yes you shoud love it, as i love it too, and became upsessed with benchmarks. But yeah those are very good scores now, especially in 2003. OC that vid card a good amount too, try lowering your ram timmings as well.

also a good thing to remember, the higher your fsb, as you can see, will give you the greater score in 2001se, overclocking ur vid card will dramatically increase the 2003 score.
more benchmarks
