Here's my new system I just built:
SOYO 6BA+100, PIII 750E slot 1 cBO, IBM 75GXP
20 gig, Creative Labs Annihilator 2 Ultra, Creative Labs X-Gamer Live, 256mg (2- 128's) Mushkin PC-133 High Performance Rev3 CAS 222, etc. Viewed on an IIyama i90a 19" monitor. The system will run solid on a 126fsb @ 945 with a voltage of 1.81, but anything over that and it won't boot. When setting fsb to 133, which is 1000, the green light on the monitor turns yellow and nothing happens. I guess I'm loosing the signal to the monitor. Why? I'm running the latest SOYO bios, Creative 6.34 drivers and an AGP aperature size to 128, which I have tried from 4 to 256. Does this mean that 945 is the limit of this particular processor? Maybe I need to burn it in? If so, what's the best program, Prime95? Any ideas of helping me reach 1000 will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kent

I have always had good luck by burning in new cpu's. I typically use Seti as a torture program, many people like Cpuburn, or Prime95. Any will do if it excercises the processor hard. Things usually start to loosen up after the 2nd or 3rd week of burning whenever the computer is not being used for anything else, and left on 24/7. Of course there are no guarantees, your mileage may vary, etc... Coppermines top out around 950 quite often, and getting beyond that point is gravy.

Good luck
