Please can anyone tell me how to overclock my CPU is there a need to cover any PINS (PIN21) i read something about it. And do i need to change my Boxed Cooler, best thing would be a complete description, or is it just to change in the bios settings ?? thanks for help

If your bios alows..set the cpu host signal clock to high, and set the mobo to 100mhz and set the multiplier to 3.5...which will give you 350mhz, but more realisticly is to set it for a 3x multiplier @100mhz fsb=300. as a last resort, you could try75mhz fsbx4=300. I am not familiar with the board u mention, but many here have had one, and can tell u more than I can, I just have experience with the chip, and successfully made it to 350mhz ,but not much further

thanks for reply, but i tried today to set FSB to anything else higher than 66,8 and i could not power on it again so i changed it back then tried just to set multiplier but same anything else then STANDART and i cannot power on again WHY ?????????????? may this be a problem of this pin 21 ???? to allow CPU to overclock it ??

Could be...BTW, that is pin b21.....just be carefull not to cover any other pins, and you might need to feed the chip with some more volts, and cooling is really important. good luck

B21 is a high/low autoselect pin. It is set in the cpu to select 66 or 100 fsb. When covered it will automatically select high(100fsb). If I'm not mistaken your board is not jumperless, correct? You may have to manually set jumpers on your board to get 100fsb. Don't bother with cpu core mult.

yes i have to select with jumpers but when i select anything else than the standart i cannot power up again till i change it back, so will pin B21 fix this problem ???

It should. Right now the cpu is demanding 66MHz and the board is set for 100. When you block the B21 pin, all you really need is to block the wide part of the pin. B21 is easy to locate. Find B1 on the end(it's clearly marked) then count 11 wide pins towards the center. Eleventh is B21.

I think I have about the same problem!! I've got the same mobo but i've got a 300mhz PII I can't seem to get it much Higher!! the only thing I can do is set the FSB to 100 and then change the multiplier to 3x but my cpu must be able to go to 450mhz. I'm also searsching for pin 21 but I don't know wich pin it is!!!! do you know it already??
oh BTW i've tried the program cpufsb but there is no result everytime I change my settings my pc hangs the program now says fsb is 100 but with sandra sisoft it says 66mhz so I don't think it works well with P2B......
