That would suck if it happened... Anyone know how to overclock a Dell Dimension 4100 PIII 866EB? The FSB is locked in the BIOS and softFSB doesn't get the SMbus Address. Can someone help?

Have you tried to change the fsb in the bios? in OEM computers, they sometimes hide the cpu setup under some arcaine name to keep the foolhardy from messing things up.
look around for buzz words like hclk freq, host freq, mem freq, bus freq, clk freq. things like that, and look in all the setup programs..e.g. bios setup,chipset features, yata yata
freq= frequency
I'm sorry to disapoint you , but i once had a mother board from intel and it sucked ! all the "cool" or "kewl" settings were locked and there was nothing thast I could do about it ! ....so I switched to ASUS ....and IT ROCKS !.....try to find another board that suits your case and happy clocking
I have a Acer Motherboard and I tryed to overclock and all it did was underclock to 300Mhz my stock speed is 450Mhz.
