Hi folksss..

Have anyone who have P4P800 have problem with video card
when installing Windows XP PRO or Windows 2003 Server
and have screen go black during installation ? I have to reboot
the system and continue the setup and when fine. But if I try
to change the screen pixel, it happen again.

I just build a new system with P4P800, 2.6c, ATI 7500,
120GB WD.
If I install windows 2000 pro, then everything going well.
Only happen if I install winXP or Win2003 .
Also if I use ATI XPert 2000 and install WinXP then everything
install well. Look like it not compatible with video card
greater than 32MB. Hope I'm wrong. Oh I just flash the
BIOS to the latest version too.

But first I have ATI 9200 video card but can not boot with
it so I bought ATI 7500 and boot okay but have problem
with black screen during installation and change pixel then
it happen.

Any idea is very appreciate.

I think you're wrong, there are probably over a billion people out there running 128MB and 256MB vid cards with a P4P800, myself included.

Maybe try installing XP with your Xpert 2000 and then replacing it with the 7500 after installation is complete.

I flashed my bios yesterday and totally lost my video at least!! I've got a radeon9000pro and nvidia fx5200ultra and neither one will work, not even my old trident pci video card, running Win2000pro and everything was working fine until I changed the bios, can't get in to unscrew it now. Got a new bios chip comming hope that solves the problem, Gist of it is IMO the newest bios has big problems.
