Another challenge from your old buddy noble.
I wan't to change the default folder for downloading files and saving images with internet explorer? How do I go about doing this one?

;)

I'm one of those ppl who aren't satisfied until everything is JUST right.

Is IE not asking you where you'd like to save the downloaded file to, and just automatically downloading to a temp directory instead? If you'd like to just set a particular directory as the default, you'll need to edit the Registry. Start | Run | Type regedit and click OK | Expand the following branch...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Internet Explorer

Right click the Download Directory String Value name in the RH pane and select "Modify" | In the "Value data" field, enter the path to the directory you'd like to be the default. :)

Ok, I thought up one. How about when I right click an image and select save as.. it give's me by default ../my documents/my pictures and I don't like that because I have to exploere quite long until I get to the preferred folder.

I believe you'll need to edit two Registry Keys, one being...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Explorer | Shell Folders, and the second being...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Explorer | User Shell Folders

In the RH pane of each of the above two Keys, locate the My Pictures String Value name | Right click each and select "Modify" | In the "Value data" field, enter the path to the directory you'd like to be the default. :)

That's amazing, how can you know all of this? What do you do for a living, are the main coder of windows? Or are you Bill Gate's here under an alias? j/k
