which pin should I cover to my P3 (Katmai core) 500MHz to unlock the multiplier ? if you want any additional hardware info tell me and i'll give it to you.

on the p2's you could block the 21 pin and it would by pass the setting for the fbs but I haven't heard anything about p3's and mulitplyers. I guess I'm not a real overclocker....thats funny I always though I was real....cuttles my yellow hippo tells me i am...

It is impossible to unlock any intel processor after the PII266 and p233mmx, these processors are multiplier locked internaly..and to date no one knows how to defeat this, and some think that once the speed is set, the interface that allows for the change is "burned out" somehow, maybe by simply blowing a resistor or diode.
other than that, the only way to o'c' is to up the front side bus....which is why the fastest factory cpu ain't nessesarily the best for 'clockin because of the multiplier beeing locked at a givin # which is why the mid range celerons are so popular
