Locked Multiplyer HEEELLLP!

How can i tell by CPU stepping code if my multiplyer is locked? Have a 533 EB, gonna get the stepping code later when i get home. But so i can know what to look for before i dismantle my system. Anyone know.. PLEASE HELP.

It will be locked! All Intel chips since the low speed celerons and PII's have been I believe. Unless it is an "ES" or Engineering Sample chip- they are around occasionally, but still quite rare.
