I went to the PC Scoop site (http://www.pcscoop.com/bestofbest/bestofbest.asp) the other day and found this "Most Intel power for the money
PIII 650 FC-PGA - 800MHz a no brainer with reports up to 933MHz and multiplier works on BX boards "
Is this true? Has anyone got proof or is PC Scoop making it up? Because I can get a combo like that for under $200 (convert to ZAR = +-R2000)

I'm not familiar with the 650, but a lot of mid range cpu's from intel are very overclockable..you just have to tweek your system, and move up the bus speed...so in effect pc scoop is not lying, but I'm not sure about that particular chip, if it works on a 100mhz bus, then it's a good possibility, but if it's a 133mhz version, then it becomes more difficult..not impossible though...you can read the primers on overclockers main page, to get you started in the wonderfull world of overclocking

I know I can increase the bus speed (i have my dad's work PIII733@825 on 150mhz bus) but is the bit about the unlocked multiplier on BX boards true?
