Hey I was looking to buy a new celeron 2, have a Abit vh6 now and a celeron1 533 ppga, but cant overclock it past 600mhz, so im buying a new celeron 2 but dont know what speed to get and what speed (multiplier) will get me the highest mhz outa it with standard cooling...
from the 633cely 2 to the 733 ver, what would be the best one to get to overclock the highest with a good price?
have a golden orb hsf and plenty of cooling
I have it on good authority that the cc0 600 or cb0 566 would be your best choices.
I have a Celey 2 600 Cc0 at 900 and I'd recommend them to anyone!

If you can pickup either a cB0 566 or cC0 600, that would be best, you are almost always guaranteed 850-900MHz.
I would go with the 566cco not cbo. The cco seem to overclock better. I have a Cel2 566cco an 600 cco, the 566 will run 1055 with no problems at 1.85volts,the 600 runs 1008 at 1.85volts.The 600 maxed out at 1053,the 566 maxed out at 1133 but unstable. Running right now at 1110 at1.9v an stable, cooled with alpha pep66.This is not saying all of them will do these speeds. I have had better luck with 566cco. You have to have good case cooling an heatsink to push them hard.Either way both are excellent chips.

yup ,the 566's and 533's are the goodies :0
I also agree on the retail 566 or 600mhz Celery's. My Uncle has a retail 566 on an Abit VL6 running 850mhz @ 1.8v. I was going to purchase a 566 but they were hard to find so I bought an Abit BX133raid and a Retail 600mhz Celery SL4NX. I run my 600 @ 1008mhz @ 1.85v with a Golden Orb cooler. Been running for over two weeks straight. Quake Arena runs awesome.
