Does any one know how do overclock a P-III 450. Do I have to tape something?

Nah, just up the bus speed a little at a time.
There is a good primer on overclocking on the main page.
BTW, you should be able to get 558mhz reliable. At least most PIII450's will do that much...a freind of mine has one that'll do 630mhz, but mine won't :-(

Ok, i have been doing some reading, and i have been able to get it to run at 558 when i increase the voltage to 2.2v i can do every stress test and it is stable except when i start Unreal I think i has to do with the AGP getting messed up when the bus goes up. I can run 500 no problem at normal voltage. Any ideas?

Sounds like more cooling is needed, I have a PIII 450 that would only do 558, but it would do it at 1.85v...it became unstable at 1.7v
It would not go higher at any voltage, and that was with an alpha p3125 h.s. with dual fans....I could get it to p.o.s.t. at 600 but wouldn't load windows, and a freind of mine has the same chip, and his will do 139fsb, or 625mhz, can you get your voltage down and remain stable? the reason I ask, is the more juice u add the more cooling u need.
BTW 600 is the max rating for the "katmai" chip
