I think that there's an option in BIOS to change the motherboard to accept any FSB but I can't remember what it's called in SoftMenu.
It's something to do with wrong is okay anyway.

Other than that - Intel has been known to ship the odd "one-in-a-million" chip that bumps buses back to default.

It has been known for people to have Celerons that won't go 100Mhz FSB due to the fact that they bump back to 66Mhz.

In the mean time - I'd switch to Jumper's wired directly to the PLL ............................... ONLY KIDDING!!!!!

********EDIT********
Sorry, just saw what motherboard your running. For that motherboard, I have no clue. Something is not right though.

Sounds like you have the infamous overclockers cold boot problem that the Asus CUSL2 i815E & i815EP motherboards are know for having. Your overclocking the same processor as I have in my CUSL2, and I'm also overclocked to 933MHz @ 1.85 Vcore. From my understanding, the CUSL2 has a "feature" to make extreme overclocking more difficult. When this motherboard boots up, it supplies 1.65V to your processor (no matter what the bios is set to), until you get a successful post, once it has posted then the motherboard will bump your Vcore to whatever you have selected in the bios. So, since your overclocking to 933MHz, I can assume that your processor needs more than 1.65V to post, when it fails to post, the mobo goes into its safety and reverts back to the 700MHz speed. If your still having this problem, with this motherboard, you may not what to know the procedure to fix this problem.... If you do, goto:

Both myself and the author accept no responsibility for your actions. Just be careful if your perform this procedure and you won't ruin anything. I was able to perform this mod in 10min, had the system back up and running after 15min. My system will now cold boot without a hitch.

No, this is not normal. I also have been running the Abit SE6 with a P3-700 @ 1015 for about six months. It has never reverted back to 700. It is very stable-- except for some on-board sound problems. . .

Are you running the latest BIOS? How about a simple "Restart"-- does it maintain the higher settings?

Make sure "speed error hold" is disabled in the bios.

It sounds like you need to bump the voltage a little...or you might need to replace the cmos battery...and the other post was right, that the newer abit boards will revert to the default settings when it fails to boot. You might also need to either reduce the fsb, or maybe you need to raise it one notch..sometimes it works that way.
My cBo 600e likes 158 better than 157fsb. go figure eh?
