Well I did the nail polish trick on contact B21 on my PII this weekend. Got my bus speed above 66 which was really nice...however can't seem to get my 300/66fsb over 350/100fsb. Its running nice and cool but won't go higher...computer won't even begin to boot up. Guess my board is holding me back...

Odd thing though...the articles I've read have refferred to two different PII's ... the SL2W8 and the SL2YK....mine is an SL2HA from Ireland...maybe thats why it can't go higher, although I'd still expect it to atleast attempt to boot up.

Probaboly my mb or memory...or perhaps my video card holding me back.

How'd ya get a proc. with 4.5 multiplier at 100fsb to do 350MHz?

Multiplier is at only 3.5...it won't start up with 4.5x100 or even 4.0x100

I think the PII-300 series had some of the last unlocked multipliers that Intel produced. Obviously this one is if the info is correct.

Well, that's the first PII300 I've heard of that wasn't multiplier locked. I don't know if you'll be able to get much out of it though. It's got the Klamath core(.35) Did you try a diff. mult. at 66FSB? It might be worth trying a higher mult. at stock FSB. Please keep me posted.
