Hey Guys,
Well I got my Powerleap ProMMX adapter should let me get pas the 233 jumper pin barrier on my old PB790 (Striped down Intel 4A3NT0).
FSB is as high as jumpers alow on the board though only 66mhz, but if jumpers would allow it would go faster with ease. (Been trying to mod this board to let it).
Anyways, I find that no matter what I do my 233 wont go over 233, and any atempt to do so only results in SLOWER speeds.
Weird eh?
I was figureing I could clock it to 266 or so untill I got a new chip at 400-500mhz, and get a slight speed trip. (Hey dont laugh, been on this old computer for ages, my first internet computer).
But Alas the damn chip wont go over 233 no matter what, I was wondering if there was something I could do to the chip to get it "unlocked" if that is what the problem actually is.
Any input is welcome as always.
Take care,
