Ok, my friend is having problems with his Spark 7 HSF where he's running it at 3000 rpm and after some time it rises to about 6000 rpm... when he leaves it at max rpm it stays but like i said when he's about 3000 rpm it rises to about 6000.

His specs are:

p4 2.4c cooled with Spark 7
Codegen PSU 400 watts
and don't know if you guys need to know the rest..

Any help plz would be great..

Thanks

It is possiable that the fans speed controller is going bad. Has he tried any other speeds? I would try other speeds and see if the same thing happens. If thats the case then the controller "is" going bad and the fan will have to be replaced. That is unless he doesn't mind the wine at 6k rpm ;)

edit:

Archi has a good point also. ;)

rofl, i gave him mbm5 to check his temps out and he got: 30°c Idle and 25°c system...

Looks like its time to replace the sucker :D
