Just installed 700e SL45Y wk 20 this morning. Have been running Seti @ 933 since 10am for burn in. I can run with no errors up to 138Mhz bus (966Mhz). I had a 600e which could run solid at 144Mhz bus with all the same hardware listed below. Could this new chip just need more burn in or do you think it may be some of the other hardware. Any ideas. Thanks!

The chip is probably all tapped out. Some cB0 700's could go higher than yours but then again some would not even make it to 933. I would say that if your temp is running at about 100 F (plus/minus 10F) then you've probably maxed the chip out. If your above this temperature your heatsink may not be mounted as good as it could be and you might be able to go higher if you can get the chip cooler.

Burn in is good, and my experience has shown that 2 or 3 weeks sometimes helps. I have an SL45Y on a BF6 at 1020 and it will go higher with the PEP66 but gets squirrely about a couple of applications. Most of the coppermines top out around 950-1000 so you may be at the limit- only time will tell.

One thing that I tried was to change the settings on my IWill Slotket II from the default 100bus/1.65vcc to 133bus/1.70vcc and all it did was change the available vcc settings in the BIOS to start at 1.70 instead of 1.65. Any recommendations on Slotket settings??
