OK, I broke a PIII 800e and sent it back to Intel and they sent me a new one back. The one I recieved, a CBo stepping just like the one that I sent. I have had two of these and they both done 1000 and the new one does not.

Part two: I bought a new Abit VP6 and I thouth that it did not work. I have now recieved another one and it to does not work, with this CPU. THe mobo does work with a PIII 500e. What is the problem guy is it the processor or the mobo?

I know of several people who are running the 800e on the VP6 without problems. Can you decribe what's going on a little?

Sorry forgot that one. It will turn on but it will not turn the monitor on. I tried it without the HSF on it and the processor is not getting any power, atleast it is not heating up.

I returned a cbo and got sent a ca2 once :( They did eventually ship me out a cbo but I had to ship back the ca2. I wonder what they will use it for? I did pop off the retail sink and put some artic silver to run it at 840 for the 2 weeks I waited for Intel to scrounge up a cbo. They actually had none in stock. Bummer the one they sent me the replacement cbo only does 933. I gave it to my Mom for Christmas along with a complete system gf2ddr. No more boredom when I go home now to visit. My new 700cco runs at 1120. Glad I gave the other to my Mom :)

I only hope my children turn out as well as you have. I could us another 700 for Christmas myself..:))
