I just installed a Celeron 700 in my IWILL Slot 1 VD133 motherboard and an IWILL Slockt II. It booted fine, but I noticed that the core voltage was 1.92V. It seemed to be stable, so I decided to up the FSB to 75. Still stable, so now I have the FSB at 83. I am getting 875 MHz, according to Sandra, and it is seemingly stable.

I am using the standard Intel supplied fan as well as a case fan. The CPU temperature as measured by the MOBO was 41 at boot up and after an hour or so, it has risen to 44.

Am I safe? It seems that the 1.92 core voltage is too high, but everything seems to work. Also, what about the 83FSB. Will this totally mess up my IDE drives and/or AGP board (ATI Rage 128)?

As you can probably tell, I am very confused and concerned about what I should do. Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

You need bettter cooling to run it that high. Invest in another heatsink Alpha is a good brand. Cheaper are globalwins. If it runs at 100fsb it would be better but that would be a rare 700. Is it only stable at that voltage? The temps are fine but with the retail heatsink I would stay at 1.85v or below.

I am pretty much possitive that your IWILL slocket came with instructions to set the jumpers for voltages. If not you BETTER get another slotket. I bought a MSI 6905 MASTER and i have my Celeron II 700 @ 877 1.65v (1.7v dfault) and it runs completely stable with fan on heatsink and a socket a duron/thunderbird heatsink. Temps are 25 C idle and 33-35 full load. I cannot get my 700 to 1.06ghz...good luck...i only know 1 person who has and i think blew it out in like 2 months. I am getting away from computers for a while and saving money for my quad...i am only 15 lol L8TS

1.92Volts!!??? My default voltage is 1.5. 44 in temp sound a bit much. I´m running my Cel2-600 at 900 with 1.75 volts and a noname cooler. It never goes above 29 in temp. Lower the voltage to 1.8 if possible and get a new cooler. I would be scared to.

Good Luck
