I have a P3 700mhz and I would like to overclock it. I, unfortunately, have a dell computer and I'm wondering how I can overclock. The only thing I have ever overclocked is my gfx card and I downloaded some special software to do that. I really, really, need some help.

Thanx, but SoftFSB has been removed from the download section at the site you gave me. Anywhere else I can get it?

Allright you can try overclocking it via a niftly little program called Soft-FSB. Done by the same guy who does WCPUID But you are going to have to hunt around on your motherboard to find out what your IC Chip is. I believe this program will get you in business for overclocking it.

You can find it at http://www.h-oda.com/ in the downloads section. He also has posted some other IC Plugins that may be what you might need. Otherwise you can attempt to overclock it through the BIOS when it boot's but having never owned a dell or anything other than what I built. I don't know how viable that is. If anyone else out there know let's me know. =) Happy hunting.

Warning: Just so you know - a Dell computer isn't exactly the perfect overclocker, so don't be too disappointed, if you don't reach any high speeds...

Computers from big corporations, such as Dell, aren't normally good at overclocking. Good luck, though!
