would a
Thermalright SLK-800 Heatsink
or
artic-cooling copper cilent 2L
fit on a p3 chip ??

This is a interesting question...

Make sure it is a SLK-800U not a A...and it will be interesting...pulled out my old 700Mhz celeron...which is the same socket setup as the P3...looks like it would fit...but the thing is...can the older P3 socket chips handle the weight...

weight:

550g (heat sink only; for AMD) / 567g (heat sink only; for Intel)

socket 370 and socket a are like... the same socket, with a few more or less pins. they both have the same 3 mounting lugs. dont make it sound so old guys :p
any socket a heatsink will work given you use a shim on the fcpga p3. they did not come with any form of shim onboard. such as, pads like amd, or a heatspreader like intel, unless its a tualatin p3.

just check your mobo for cap placement around the socket. im sure a 800 will cool a p3 almost passivly XD
