My rig:

P4 2.4c
P4c800 Deluxe

I was wondering what would be best as by using dual channel feature. What would be better... use 2sticks of 256 or 1 stick of 512... ?? I haven't purchased my components yet but i soon will and I know that I will need to check out if the chips are bh-5.

Thanks

Most of the dual channel mobo's require matching ram sticks in the appropriate slots. Esentially ram must be used in pairs for dual channel, so go with two sticks of the fastest stuff your board can run if your wallet can take it.

you would lost a ton of memory bandwith if you only used 1 stick
it's true dual channel, not like amd's

What do you mean like AMD...its true dual channel....just the CPUs under the 64 bit CPUs can not fully utilize the DC memory bandwidth...

and yes, you will see much better bandwidth using dual ram sticks
