i have a pII 400 with 64mb ram and im not sure of the bus speed. i was just wondering could anyone tell me a ballpark figure as to what this system can OC. i will dig into my case to see exactly what all i have if that info is needed. i am very new to all this OC stuff so i am reading all that i can to learn. any help will be greatly appreciated!

yeah, your processor is running @ 4 x 100mhz Front Side Bus. I dont know anything about P2 400s.. but if you can go to your Bios and see if your clock multiplier is changeable... if not, then try increasing the FSB clock speed. Such as 4 x 112mhz+or- FSB.. but dont jump high in the start. Increasing the FSB is very effective in Overclocking.

thanks a ton for the help man. i really appreciate it. i am learning this OC stuff slowly but surely. i just finished watercooling my processor (waterblock, radiator, fan, inline pump) and it is working fine. is there any small purpose software for checking voltage and speed out there? i dont need the whole 20meg program that everyone else uses...

thanks again man...

no problem Stumpy.

Yeah, if you dont have the SisSoft Sandra 2000(2.48MB) software which is very popular, you can go to:

Good luck with yur watercooling!
