Huh? gameve's not selling 1800+s or 1700+s and those are the only DLT3C B (not A).

The only thing newegg ever guaranteed was 2100+ B, they never guaranteed DLT3C.

looks like its time to scrounge around your local computer store if you want a decent 1800+. i found mine at a place near me, paid $62 for it. i just picked up a 2100+ 0304MPMW from them this past sunday in the retail box for $75.

svc.com (http://www.svc.com/cpus-amdxp.html) still has the 1800's and odds are with them they will be the DLT3C B...ordered quite a few CPUs from them...1700 - 2200 and never recieved a A from them...I just might of been lucky also...

WobbZ

I'd say just go with a DU3TC... almost just as good for OCing... if not the same (depends on what voltage you are gonna run...)...

I suppose the most important thing is really 1) What week/year the CPU was made (ie. good batch/ bad batch) 2) and possibly stepping (most are getting pretty close these days)...

The only difference between DL3TC (1.5v) and DU3TC (1.6v?) is the standard voltages (therefore usually meaning less required voltage increase when you overclock on the DL3TC).

hahahahahaha, opps (emberased pic here). Sir barton you see that guy under your name, the one from fear and loathing, i'm his distant cuzin. Sorry guys, really, my friend was rushing me to go and get this stupid serial cable, so i just posted and ran. Terribly sorry, I meant this site http://www.compuplus.com/insidepage.php3?refer=pricewatch.com&id=888

Mr.Rotory
12-17-03, 11:10 PM
ahh, one more thing, what the difference between A and B? for the DLT3C's? Doesnt the DUT3C not overclock as high?

glock19owner
12-17-03, 11:12 PM
Thats a tbred A...stay away from them if you are planning on OCing it...my pali. OCed better then my first 1700 A...that CPU lasted about a great big 2 hours in my system and was sold then next day...

If its not then they are mislabling a product which is a big no no.

Also...there reseller rating is horrible...3.93 for the last 6 months...out of a rating of 10...hence why they are selling A's and still have the 1700 and 1800 still in stock...

not any site other then a few like excaliberpc.com but are sold out guarantee steppings. so the best bet for you in your search for a "golden" chip would be here on the forums. earn a few more post(dont spam) and get xcess to the classifieds.

glock19owner

99% that svc.com has the 1800 DLT3C B's...I don't know about gameve.com since I do not order from them...you can always write to svc.com and ask them...

For specific information regarding our products and technical support:
Email: techsupport@svc.com

They're all AXDA that's not the stepping code. They usually don't list the stepping code.

Example code: AXDA2100DUT3C AIUHB 0248MPMW

0248 stands for 2002 week 48

T-Bred A's have a stepping code which ends in "A": xxxA are T-Bred A's

T-Bred B's have a stepping code which ends in "B": xxxB are T-Bred B's (like the example code AIUHB above)

That's why the last letter of the stepping code is important.
DLT3C or DUT3C is not enough as it can be one or the other for some of them:

I wouldnt buy a 1700+ or 1800+ UNLESS it was a "DLT3C"

I dont care what anybody says they OC better then the DUT3C.

I have a 1700 DLT3C at 250x10 on air.

Kenshiro
12-18-03, 11:29 AM
DLT3C only tells you that the core uses 1.5V at stock voltate, which is what you actually should be looking for. But that does not tell you if this is an A core or B core. This is what I will advice. Get 1 from Ebay. You can always ask for the stepping code before you purchase it.

eXcaliberPC.com still has retail 1700's , they are just hidden from public view .. I think they are the blue core ones too !! GOOD ones !! 1800 weeks 0332/0333/0334/0335 are better than any 1700 though IMO .. http://www.excaliberpc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1962

It is hidden. How did you find it?

AFIsoldier
12-18-03, 09:11 PM
it is part of a deal with a nf7-s..out of stock though
"Products marked with *** dont exist in desired quantity in our stock.
Please alter the quantity of products marked with (***), Thank you" the 1700+ has the 3 red * beside it when you add to and look at in cart...so you can't get it there

Get the dltc 1800 0310 from excaliberpc

__TRONIK__

when you guarantee one of those tbred steppings from allstar you are getting very near barton prices - most of the locked ones still do 2.4-2.5 on air/water, so unless the tbred can manage 2.6-2.7 I don't see how it is a wise choice over a barton. And when it's time to upgrade again down the road, which will hold more resale value? Unless the tbred is an absolute peach and you find an o/cer for it, it's the barton.

PingSpike
12-29-03, 01:40 PM
TRONIK makes some good points there. Consider what you're looking for precisely. I picked up one of those 1800+ off excailberpc.com before they went out of stock for like $65. You can get a barton 2500+ for like $85. Points to ponder.

It'll be hard to find a garenteed stepping at this point as well. But I would just send svc.com an email. Their customer service is top notch, I'm sure they'll get back to you on it.

if one is to spend that much time hunting down particular cpu's, it makes only as much sense these days to make sure you spend as much time hunting down particular examples of good ram. Snaring cheap bh-5 was the best "stepping" I have found of any component, well maybe cept for the 9500 I killed. glad someone finds me coherent in hour 28 of wakefulness. :P

Dr. Strangelove
12-30-03, 12:59 AM
It only makes sense to hunt for all your components with equal diligence and care. I'm building a new sys for max OC at present, looking for an 1800 DLt3c b core to go with muskin and nf7s and a 5950 all on water. I want to attempt 2.6+ stable...... Man this gets into your wallet if you let it! But aint it fun!

Ahh, I would not do that if I were you. Read the rest of the thread, I'd advise to cancel now if you can. Its a t-bred a not b, from what i get on this thread those are horrible oc'ers.

*edit* not to mention, check their reseller rating, its horrible.

cpu was just dropped off by the UPS man.

kinda funny, the order was for a 1700+. what i received is an 1800+ DUT3C JIUCB 0325 TPAW.

On a side note:

Newegg has 1700+'s back instock again

Polarys425 how is it doing? I see that its atleast a t-bred b so it should be ok for overclocking. What have you managed?

a big 2.0ghz. @1.8v. any more voltage or higher multi and it wont boot. oh well, it'll find its way to the kids computer the next time i have to do anything to it.

on a brighter note, i got my hands on a week 31 2600+ tbred that is showing some promise. im breaking it in slow after my barton degraded the way it did after being fed 2.0v.

its doing 2.3ghz at 1.8v on air so far.

I think my XP2200+ is pretty decent... I can post at 2.4, but cant load windows... cooling too **** (volcano 7, and this is 2v!)

Runs fine at 2.31 tho, 1.95V...

StinkNBreff

yeah Jiucb were the worst t-bred B's .. Also - for some reason the older 2400/2600/2700 overclock better . My 2700 aiugb 0244 does 2400 at 1.75v , never tried 2500 mhz , but I know it will do it ..

I just got one of these on ebay for 62.50 +10.00shp. The seller was "Unixboost". He had about 25 of these listed at 99.00 min bid and about 3 were listed at 58.00 min bid. He currently does not have anything listed but suspect he will relist in the next couple of days. Do a search on the seller name. His feedback was 100%.
