I have a compaq 5690 500mhz system. I want to overclock it to as fast as I can get.

First I don't know what ype of motherboard they use. I tried looking couldn't find out. I called Compaq and they said it is a "standar compaq board". I have no SoftFSB options in my BIOS *Compaq has a very limited one*. I was told I would prolly have to use a program to overclock my PC.

I downloaded SoftFBS and they asked for my motherboard and my IC chip. Well as you can see i dont know either.

If anyone has any experience in Overclocking Compaqs or if anyone can help me our that would be greatly appreciated. I am on ICQ also if someone wants to shoot me a message.

Thanks

Well open that up and find your IC Chip so you can tell FSB What kind it is, you need either your IC Chip Model or you mother board model not both =) So take err apart and find out. If it isn't listed in FSB they have some more IC's listed on their website at http://www.h-oda.com/
Happy Hunting!
