Guys dont try this at home unless you got some good cooling for your mainboard.

I had some registry corrupt problem on my P3 700E cC0@933- 966 on a Abit BE6-2 rev1.2 mobo @Mushkin PC150 3.2.2 cas timing. Based on my observations, experimentation, and conclusion, the Vcore@ 1.80V and I/O voltage @ 3.7- 3.8 V. The I/O voltage even at that high setting, it turned out tobe little low.. It's the I/O voltage adustment made quite of help on solving registry corrupt issue on this mobo.

I said.. damnnn... Im already close to the Max limit of I/O voltages on this mobo! I wanted to get rid of registry problem when cold starting my PC(restarts are no problem).

Here's what I did.. I left the Vcore@ 1.80V and bumped the I/O voltage hell out to the MAX 3.90V!!!!!, Oh by the way all my cheapsets(AGP chipset, PCI controller chipset, hpt370 chipset, etc..) on my motherboard were covered with some nicely modified heat sinks with Artic Silver Adhesive in the past..

Surprisingly, now I dont have any kind of heat problems on both my CPU and Mobo. CPU idle@ 29- 30 degree celsius and Full Load@ 37- 39 degree celsius. The mobo temp ranged from 31- 36 degree celsius. The I/O voltage option is now maxed out!!! I can't go anymore.

The stability is ** solid **. No registry corrupt upon cold starting my PC(yet..). I have already done this test over and over at diff. time intervals by turning off PC and turn it back on. No problems YET...... I sure saw the improvement by bumpin the hell out of I/O voltage at 966mhz and I am happy with this speed. No crash in heavy Quake3 gaming. :P:P:P

Im sorry guys... My English is horrible and sloppy, I had to re-read my own post and made some corrections on my grammer. I was in a hurry when i first posted my thread.. Sorry for the confusion. The problem I solved on my particular system may not apply to others' system. But I dont like the way I/O voltage is set at Maximum on my mobo though.. Strange thing is that there's no more registry problem at all... weird isn't it..

It could be the ram . I get registry errors when the ram is maxed out. THe i/o voltage gives it a litttle extra juice. HAve you tried experimenting with ram timings.
