Whats the difference between the 144 and 244? I'm looking at newegg and they show them from $270-$464 they appear to be identical. Same speed, cache, voltage...

the first numbers denote the number of CPUs to be used in one system.
ie 144 is for a single proc board
ie 244 is for a dual proc board
ie 144 is for a single proc board

And unlike the Athlon XP chips, Opterons meant for single CPU application will NOT work in dual.
