hyperthetical question on ram

what would you see better performance with?

1 512mb stick of decent cas lat 2 ram
or
1 gb of kingston value at cas lat 3?

the reason why i ask is that both choices are within the same price range (well here anyway)

For bandwidth, The single stick of 512 would be better, all things equal due to the tighter timing.

the 512 stick, since its cas is lower, the 1 gig stick has a bigger size, but the 512 one is faster

I don't know, from what I've heard, very few games really take more than 512megs, but then again, the first three words summarize.
