View Full Version : How can I change +3.3v on P3V4X mobo to +3.6v to gain a stable O/C?
I've been trying to find the answer in the Mobo manual but it does not mention it.
How can I change the default 3.3v to 3.6v on a P3V4X mobo??
Can someone please help???

It's not in the manual. Undocumented jumper is located next to the fan plug above the mem slots. Just move it from pins 1/2 to pins 2/3.
what kind of cpu do you have that has a default voltage of 3.3v i have the P3V4X mobo with a plll slot 1 1ghz cpu and the default core voltage is 1.7 and when you change that jumper setting near the cpu fan plug do you have to use the jumpers on your mother board or can you still use the bios to change stuff also my core voltage will only go to 2.9v if i change that jumper will it raise my ablity to go beyond 2.9v

We are talking about the I/O voltage jumper. It has nothing to do with the other jumpers or the bios settings for the cpu. Some have had success getting better O/C because of video card, memory, etc. needing a little more jump start to work at higher bus speeds. Also can help with stability sometimes.
Thanks for the help people!!!!
I am now sucessfully "overclocking" my PIII700 to a STABLE 980Mhz @ 140Mhz FSB and RAM is also @ 140Mhz.
All Games, and Programs run stable... not one freeze... here are my results and settings:
PIII700@980Mhz (Using AlphaPEP66 and Artic Silver compound)
140Mhz FSB (heatsink and fan cooling down the Clock Generator)
140Mhz CAS 3 RAM (Wish I had CAS 2 RAM)
1.90v for the CPU
3.66v for the I/O (thanks again)
Hercules Geforce 2 GTS 64MB 220/400
I might try the next step up which is 994Mhz on my P3V4X on the mobo.
Thanks again for the help,, your GRREEEAAATT!!!!
