View Full Version : Can't OC P2 400 with 64mb PC100
I have a Pentium-II 400mhz (Slot1)with 64 mbs of PC100 SDRAM. It runs at 132.8F / 2.05V. I entered my bios and changed my multiplier to 4.5x100 but it wont boot at all. Is there anything else i need to do to OC this system besides just change the multiplier?

While some PII 350's had Multipliers that were unlocked, all PII 400's have a Fixed Multiplier. This cannot be changed. Unsmiley face. All you can do to overclock it is boost the Front Side Bus speed. If your mainboard lets you, try 103, 105, 110, 112, 124 Mhz. No CPU is guaranteed to be overclockable. If you increase cooling of the case and CPU, you can raise the Core Voltage, too. Personally, I wouldn't go above 2.2 Volts.
