I'm having trouble getting the game port on a sound card to work. It's a pretty basic C-Media 8738 based card, and I don't think it's a problem with the card itself. Device manager detects the card, but there's a conflict. Going under properties says "Code 12 - I/O Ranges 0201-0201 Unavailable." I think it's something with the motherboard...
Is there any way to get this to work?

I believe that means that another device is using that memory address.
You might want to take a look in your BIOS settings, and see if you can spot what is using that address. You may also want to disable any unused ports, serial or parallel, to free resources.
Swapping the card to another PCI slot could do the trick as well.

Alright, I'll try moving slots.
I already checked all my resources - USB, Serial, and Parallel are all disabled. So is firewire, and I don't have any additional PCI cards in there - only the AGP video card. I get the feeling that it's not really a problem with resources, as there seem to be enough...it's just one of those weird things.
