cheap lcd mod?

lets say you were in a junk yard maybe getting an chevette heat core, and happened to see a new but totaled minivan or something, and you go to check it out and discover the flip down lcd built in about the center console, could you mod that, or would that thing even make it to the junkyard

It could easily be rewired for regular analogue video input. IF you find one.

some soccer moms get really nice packages on their minivans and suv's, and they have flip down dvd screens so their kiddies can be quiet and watch a movie, its shown on the dodge caravan commercial and the dodge durango commercials right now, but its in lots of other brands including the chevy suburban and such

Ohhhh, I understand, but I highly doubt you will find an LCD screen in a minivan because most of the stuff that is in the junkyard doesn't have DVD screens because they are older, but if you could find one, more power to ya.

you can get "flip down" mini lcd tvs for vans nowadays, it's kind of like the way a laptop flips up but since it's rooted to the ceiling it instead flips down.

lol funny way of describing it. My family just got a new van with a lcd tv. Its pretty cool being able to play xbox/ps2/gc on long trips as well as watching movies.

BTW: it does have a USB video capture device. And I have an inverter, of course. It's actually a modified UPS that cost me $1! :D
