I was given some old computer parts by a friend. Included in the computer parts is a pentium processor and mother board. The processor has the following printed on it:
Intel Pentium
w/ mmx tech
FV80503233
SL27S/2.8V
A4
C7501029-0812

Could anybody tell me what it is? What speed is it?
Is it worth anything?
Have been lurking here for a few weeks trying to learn something and this seems to be the most knowledgeable website I have found.
Thank you in advance.

I could be wrong, but I think it's a Pentium 233 mmx.

Well you indeed do seem to have a Pentium 233MMx Chip there, in order to find out a value on it check out http://www.pricewatch.com/ Although in checking there, I would say the value on that 233 is little to none.

If you would like some more info on your prodesor I will copy it down as follows.

SL27S - Processor CPUID Information
Type - 0 or 2
Family - 5
Model - 4
Stepping - 3
Mfg Stepping - xB1
Part Number
Processor Part Number FV80503233 SL27S
Installation Information
Operating Voltage - Between 2.7 - 2.9 Volts
Bus Frequency (MHz) - 66
Core Frequency (MHz) - 233
Bus/Core Ratio - 2/7 Ratio
Timing Specifications - Standard
Package Information
Pin Count 296
ZIF Socket Type Socket 7

You could always pull that out and swap in a K6-2 550 Which would bring your system speed up to 450MHz - Not bad for an old dog eh ? E-mail me for more info.

Hope that helps
