Happy Camper would like some input on temps. Running Prime95 Torture Test even as I am typing. Using MBM I am showing temps on Sensor 1 of Lowest 20C, Highest 20C and Average of 20C which is about the same a the room temp of 68F right now. Sensor 2 (internal diode) shows Lowest 31C, Highest 56C and Average of 42C. My question is why while running Torture Test will the current reading as I watch it take a reading every 10sec show changes from like 40C on one read then the next maybe 54C. Seems it should be more constant when under this kind of consistent load. It does not do this on every 10sec read just occasionally. Most reads are in between the 40-45 range.

This is P3-700 cBO on a P3V4X Bios 1005 memory setting 1/1 Crucial (2X128) at 2/2/2/5 and 1.90v I/O has not been changes from the +3.5v that is default on this board.

P3v4x are known for having problems with the temp sensors. Mine does the same thing, I just pay attention tot he avg temp. My avg is 30c yours might be alittle hich but I wouldn't get to worried unless the avg gets around mid to high 40's in C that is. My Voltage is at 1.85 and I have the alpha 3125 with 3dfxcool fans. The room temp is 73f hope this helps. just keep an eye on it....1ghz rocks!!!

Thanks for info. My average drops to 32-33C when not running Prime95 Torture Test. Using PEP66, Artic Silver on IWill Slotket. Had to move to 1.90v to get stable. Would boot Windoze, but when running multiple programs plus Prime95 was locking up. Has not locked for past 4 hours.
