A few weeks ago, I bought an inexpensive, $20 rotary tool. This morning I began to work on my latest project by enlarging the front fan cut-outs to accept 92mm fans. Half way through the process the tool started smoking, made a grinding sound, and in a spectacular display of flying plastic ceased to operate.

I immediately drove to Home Depot, where they're having a 20% off sale on all power tools, and bought a Dremel MultiPro. Wow, what a difference! Not only did it stay in one piece, but its operation was much smoother, allowing for more precise cuts. I usually don't cheap-out on tools, but the first rotary that I bought was such a good deal that I figured I'd try it. Well, I learned my lesson.

We want PICS! We want PICS!

First, I love my dremel

Second, I usually cheap out on tools. It's not like me to spend more then need to. I guess since everyone here has a Dremel and loves it, I felt I should go withe the Dremel too.

Third, you learn from mistakes

Yup nothing beats the Dremel. Its uses go on and on. As far as tools go, its the best investement I have ever made. I actualy have two, that way I dont have to change bits back and forth.

Yeah, cheap tools are no good when working with metal. My dad bought me a Dremel Advantage for christmas, WOW. IF you have never used one of these you are missing out. Can we say 35000 RPM's? The air form the cooling fans can be felt 5 feet away. Every modder should have one of these. This is the first Rotary tool that made me want to wear gloves.

I got a pretty good gash from my dremel when the disc caught during a cut. The disc exploded and part of it embeded itself in the back of my hand.

I just went to Home Depot earlier today on my bike and pickup up 20 Aluminum Reinforced Cutting Blades and a Carbide Cutting Blade. Got home and went to modding my 2 cases until I got tired. They look so much better and the airflow is a whole lot greater. I wish I had a better camera to showcase to everyone.
