about khx bh-5

i was wondering if there was anyway i can know what kind of chip(bh5 or ch5) i got without removing the heatspreader because its kindda ruff to get off. Its 256 khxpc3500.

2.5v=bh5, 2.6v=ch5. Is what I've been told.

no i have khx 3200 thats rated at 2.6.I have taken the heatspreader off and it is winbond BH-5

so taking of the heatspreader is the only way? I can jack it up to 2.9v. My timings stock in CPUz says 6222.
How do u take the heatspreader off?

i pry the silver clips(gently)with a small screwdriver.then i used a credit card(again gently)to pry just enough so i could see the chips.i think the difference is BH-5 is rated at 2-2-2-6 while the CH-5 is rated at 2-3-2-6.but the only way to be sure is to look

Actually PC3500 per Kingston it says it is 7-3-3-2

I know because mine can't hit 215FSB at stock voltage (actually mine can't hit it even up to 2.9v with those timings)
