Okay, so I pushed the FSB on my celery 400 to 100mhz, now it won't post, so I had to reset it back to 83.3mhz.<I know there are some 'compatability issues' using the 83.3mhz FSB, what is the most common problem running at this speed, also, will upping the Vcore solve the 100mhz FSB post problem? If so, what should I put it up to? (my mobo goes in icriments of .05, so will 2.05 work, or will I have to go higher).
my current CPU temp is around 36-38C using a gorb-clone ('power cooler power orb') and using Rain CPU cooler.<So my CPU load is aparently at around 100% all the time according to M$ system monitor.
What would my temp differance be if I upped the vcore? alot or not much?

here's my specs:
Asus P3B-F MOBO
INTEL CELERON 400MHZ @ 500MHZ (83.3MHZ X 6.0) VCORE @ 2.0
ASUS SLOT 1 TO PPGA/FCPGA ADAPTOR
128MB PC-100 RAM
QUANTUM KA 13.6GB HDD
3DFX VOODOO 3 3000 AGP
SB LIVE!
REALMAGIC HOLLYWOOD PLUS MPEG-2 DVD DECODER
Thanks.

The 400 celeron is the older ppga non-coppermine chip. They are not known for achieving 100FSB even with active cooling. Of the ppga chips, the 400 was not known for good overclocking results in general. Some ppga celerons would reach around 600MHz before the core runs out of steam. With the 400 that requires 100FSB which was beyond the chips capabilities in almost all cases.

I've seen on the CPU database here that many could hit the 600mhz mark, some, I found, had to turn off the L2 cache for it to work on the ASUS P3B-F though.
What kind of preformance hit would happen if the Cache was turned off? If it's only a matter of 100 or so MIPS difference from the 500mhz with the cache on, I just won't bother then.
