well, looks like my celeron 600 cco was not all it was cracked up to be!
i will now buy a p3 700 to hit 1gig+?
i have infineon(kingston) 7.5ns pc 133 2x256mb=512.
radeon 32ddr(no tv).
soyo sy6ba+100(not replacing mobo, since i got it last week).
assuming that my chip makes it this time, will this setup hold out at 143+mhz bus? or is it a gamble(the memory etc., not the cpu)?

if its a no go, what would be the best cpu for me to get for this setup? id like to hit the magic 1 gig. although, overall performance is more of a concern, not big numbers.

any replies greatly appreciated,
sendatooli.

The PIII-700 is the most common chip for 1GHz that I have seen. I have a cb0 @1020 that will go higher, and a pair of cc0s on a dual board @1002. It's still a crap shoot but they seem the most likely candidate. My cb0 is an SL45Y Malay and the cc0s are SL4CH Phillipines.
