I'm new here and i need help
I have a P3 500 @ 100mhz and my multiplier is 5.0 (i dont no wat a multiplier is PLEAZE explain)
Before i start i need some advice!!!! ,......and how fast should my computer be after overclocking, cause i read stories about a 600 mhz to 840 mhz
please give me some advice
ok, first off, you need to give more info , like type of mobo, etc......in your mobo-bios (if its quality), you should find a cpu host/pci clock setting - this is where you will make the jump........i have a soyo sy-6ba+III and a pIII-550e that is pushed up to 133/33 - a 4/1 ratio so that the pci clock is still at the appropriate speed,.....the agp is overclocked but doesn't seem to mind......my pIII runs @ 735mhz and i will push it further when i get an i815 mobo since i can better adjust the clock settings......

Is it a Katmai? That's what I have right now, and it'll only run at 560 Mhz. Not too bad(for what it is) but looking desperately for a cCO 750 slot 1. I would guess this is about all you could expect from this cpu.
