My VH6T mobo is suffering from bad caps, and i need to replace them. I have enough caps of the same voltage to replace them but some are of lower capacitance then the ones i'm replacing and some are higher capacitance then the ones i'm replacing.

Is it a good idea to go ahead with the switch, or should I wait and find exact matches for the bad capacitors?

You want ones that are exactly right, otherwise you run the risk of blowing them up, or your motherboard not working because of not enough power.

or better yet them not having the timing right, becasue they will charge untill 100% then discharge. If that would happen they would take too long to charge, then output more than whatever is recieving wants. probably would blow something up real fast. (i blew up a cap on a video card i was testing once, for some reason older vid cards have a set of pins that look like they take a cable...someone has put jumpers on it, and when i plugged it in i diddnt notice. a singel ceramic cap blew, whole card was covered. i later replaced the cap with one from a different video card (exact match) and it works fine now. i ran wires to the cap (about .5 inches) just ot make it ghetto, and taped it up. still works :-P) )

i have two cards with those connectors. supposedly you can hook them together and make a faster card, but ive never tried. maybe ill do it one of these days.

reeealy. i have like 6 or 7 with them. of course, they are all pci or isa, and they are 2 mb max, and all suck at life. i also seem to have 3 older at mobo's that seem to have a similar dohucky right next to the processor. (it has a big white casing and fancy connector doodand on it, too. my bro seems to think they are made for clustering, hardware style)
